Description;

A rather unusual and attractive antique glass, enameled, gilt bronze object made in Bohemia, ca. 1840-1860.

This object is not common, they were rather expensive, due to materials and the very high level of craftsmanship in order to finish this quality object. The gilt Italianate cherubs and delicate hand blown glass, with a sleek spiral twist, are all quite feminine.

Originally a dressing table accoutrement, used for hair and hat pins, today they could equally be used for pens and pencils, makeup pads, or perhaps being even more integrated into a modern lifestyle by being used to keep those slippery USB memory sticks from getting lost.
