Description;

A handsome, antique tall lidded amber jar with blue decorations from the glass masters of Bohemia; ca. 1870-1890.

Traditionally these were meant for storage of cookies, nuts and candies. Occasionally they were also used in conjunction with garden parties in order to serve Cordials, Rataffia, Elder Flower Champagne, or perhaps sorbets and cracked ice; served with a suitable spoon such as a silver ladle.

A client in London, has purchased similar one in cranberry glass, in order to keep a lid on his traffic frustrations. It is used to his keep all his parking tickets in.

Condition; The condition is good, however do take note; the rim has a few minor nibbles. The centimeter size is ca, Base diameter; 12.0. Neck diameter; 9.0 Total height; 44.0
