A very handsome antique, imposingly cut and polished, transparent crystal glass bowl with a lid and stand. This clear crystal piece was made in ca. 1820-40, by the master glassmakers in Bohemia, who really understood their crafts very well indeed.
This particular piece, was not only meant to be used as an utensil for eating and dining. It was however; also meant to glint brightly on the purely esthetic level by catching all of the available light and splitting it into even more individual lights. Imagine how a Venetian crystal chandelier, or a well cut diamond catches the light and sparkles.
